Her numbers check out according to a blog post by Health Affairs, a peer-reviewed healthcare journal. In addition to citing a poll by Kaiser Health, Health Affairs itself conducted a survey, asking a random sample of adult enrollees in California “the extent to which eliminating the mandate penalties might have altered their decision to purchase insurance.”
