Violent Political Acts committed in the United States

Probably worth mentioning how several organized groups (far-left and far-right) have been also engaged in violent activities.

Source of violence/rioting/protesting worth separating:

  • Politics (people with different ideas about how the Country should be run)
  • Nationalism (an extreme form of patriotism marked by the feeling of superiority over other countries)
  • Provocateurs (people who purposely say things to cause trouble)
  • State actors (other Countries getting involved in US politics, see: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/18/us/politics/russian-operatives-facebook-twitter.html)

Possibly end the article on the note that there is a global growing political divide. This is something that was also seen post-World War I and II.
