President Trump tweeted:

Donald J. Trump on Twitter

Republican Party Favorability is the highest it has been in 7 years – 3 points higher than Democrats! Gallup

Claim 1:

“Republican Party Favorability is the highest it has been in 7 years” (according to Gallup poll).

The poll he was referring to was this.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Forty-five percent of Americans now have a favorable view of the Republican Party, a nine-point gain from last September’s 36%. It is the party’s most positive image since it registered 47% in January 2011, shortly after taking control of the House in the 2010 midterm elections

We rate this claim True.

Claim 2:

He claims that the Republican favorability is three points higher than the Democratic. But according to that poll,

Republican favorability at 45%, Democrats at 44%

That is a one point difference, not three. We rate this False.
