A 25 year old vitim, Suoriya Jain, died in hospital around 6:30am on Friday. After stalking her on Facebook, the accused, Kamlesh Sahu lay in wait for her for days, struck the moment he found her alone and stabbed her 38 times with a sickle which he had bought from sarafa Bazaar in Indore. The incident took place in front of CHL Hospital.
The accused, Kamlesh Sahu claimed that he had been trying to gain the love of her since high school and coundn’t bear to see her “adopt a modern lifestyle and make male friends.
On Thursday night, when Suoriya jain walked down the lane near her office to buy dinner, the lane is abuzz with full of activity, suddenly Kamlesh grabbed her by her hair and pushed her to the ground. He had covered his with white cloth.
Passersby watched in horror as he pulled out a sickle and attacked her. When she screamed for help, two men ran towards her, but Kamlesh swung the sickle at them, threatening to kill them if they came near.
The 2 men ran towards the main road where they spotted a cops van passing near by and shouted for help. When police arrived on the scene, Kamlesh was sitting on a blood-soaked Supriya, repeatedly slashing her face. Then cops overpowered him and carried the girl to Hospital.
“The accused ‘Kamlesh sahu‘ has been arrested and booked under Section 302 for murder,” said MIG police station in-charge Tehzeeb Qazi.
accused Kamlesh claimed that he was in love with her since high school and when he proposed to her in Class XII, she had said we will be in a relationship once she gets a job and he waited for her. The reason for killing Supriya is “As she had taken to a modern lifestyle and had many male friends”.
