The claim that Tim Berners-Lee says they *must be regulated* is well overblown. His words from the leter were, as is quoted: “A legal or regulatory framework that accounts for social objectives may help ease those tensions.”

Nothing I read in this article suggest that he ever made this strong a claim. Hence I claim this is not an objective report.

Please modify the title and intro to reflect the nuances of the main source (the open letter) or provide more sources to back up the stronger claim.

Agreed! I thought WikiTribune was about facts, not sensational journalism..

    Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Simply asserting that “A legal or regulatory framework that accounts for social objectives may help ease those tensions.” is insufficient–it fails to address that the usual promulgators of “legal [and] regulatory frameworks”–governments–are usually as corrupt and self-seeking as the “large tech companies.” Lord Acton’s observation says nothing at all about the nature or source of the powers that tend to corrupt.
