Dave Zelinka

Dave is a PhD candidate in civil systems engineering and an MS candidate in engineering for developing communities at the University of Colorado Boulder. He received his first MS in environmental and sustainability engineering from the University of Colorado Denver and his BS in environmental and ecological engineering from Purdue University.

His research looks at analytical methods to understand the complexity involved with sustainable development and systemic social issues from a transdisciplinary and systems perspective. Dave’s expertise includes the Sustainable Development Goals, the water-energy-land-food (WELF) nexus and environmental-human interactions, international governance and corruption, and system dynamics modeling.
