WikiTribune is proud to announce the launch of its first non-English language site, WikiTribune en Español.
The site will bring together professional journalists and community collaborators with the same common objective: to combat fake news on the internet. WikiTribune en Español seeks to reach the estimated 572 million Spanish-speakers around the world.
In WikiTribune en Español, collaborators will examine the facts and help ensure the language is factual and neutral, and that the community can easily contribute and improve our stories. Community and collaborators will also have free access to the published content and will act as voices dictating the topics covered on this innovative journalistic platform.
The Spanish-speaking team are committed to working on an ad-free platform that champions online information neutrality and produces evidence-based journalism. WikiTribune en Español is being launched without advertising or advertisers.
WikiTribune founder Jimmy Wales said: “WikiTribune is news by the people and for the people. This will be the first time that professional journalists and citizen journalists will work together writing stories as they happen, editing live as they develop and backed at all times by a community checking and re-checking all facts.”
WikiTribune is an ad-free platform that champions online information neutrality, fights fake news and produces evidence-based journalism. The English version of WikiTribune was launched in October 2017.
