According to the below quoted official source, in the years 2017 and 2018 alltogether, the employment growth was 4.7 million (nonfarm sectors), the manufactoring employment increased by 491.000. According to the below quoted official source, in the years 2017 and 2018 alltogether, the employment growth was 4.7 million (nonfarm sectors), the manufactoring employment increased by 491.000.
There is an uncertainty when comparing the figures because the "Union address" does not tell on which basis it's figures had been obtained. If the "Union address" included the farm employees, the difference to the official figure would be diminished only inconsiderably, given the dimension as reported by the Wirtschaftskammer Österreich: from 2015 to 2016, farm employment increased by 36.000 from 2.525 to 2.561 million. There is an uncertainty when comparing the figures because the "Union address" does not tell on which basis it's figures had been obtained.
