  As Ethiopia constructs a <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-africanunion-summit-nile/egypt-ethiopia-and-sudan-hope-to-break-nile-dam-talks-deadlock-in-one-month-idUSKBN1FI1LC?il=0">$4 billion dam on the Nile River, Egypt is concerned</a> the hydro-electric project will be devastating to its fragile agricultural sector.
  Leaders of Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan are meeting to discuss the potential impacts of the massive infrastructure endeavor.  While Egypt opposes the Ethiopian dam, Sudan supports it.
  <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: 1.6rem;">The goal of Monday's meeting is to decide how and who assesses the environmental impacts of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Ethiopian_Renaissance_Dam">Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.</a></span>
  This is just the latest incident of a decades long <a href="https://www.brookings.edu/blog/africa-in-focus/2015/04/28/the-limits-of-the-new-nile-agreement/">fight over water rights</a> between the two water-scarce countries.<em> (Brookings)</em>
