I don’t see how this can be verified as a Fact check as there is no way to prove whether or not he supports “assassinating foreign leaders” though there is no evidence to indicate this is his opinion, likewise while he was considered a prominent voice in nonconservative media supporting President Bush and the most recent Iraq war “agitated” is not the best phrasing to describe his behavior and cannot really be “Fact checked”.

The only thing I see approaching a claim which can be fact checked is that he “Called for war with Iran” and while this may be true as he was critical of Obama’s Iran Deal I cannot find any evidence that he actually said this.

I would suggest instead focusing on a more verifiable claim and if a story about Brett Stephens makes sense one could be created or probably a better story to look at would be the situation in Venezuela that Ilhan Omar is posting on Twitter about in response to a nonconservative Pulitzer Prize winning journalist she does not agree with.

Why shall there be “no way to prove whether or not he supports ‘assassinating foreign leaders’ though there is no evidence to indicate this is his opinion”? As an opinion journalist he made his opinion public.

Just as an example, an opinion of Stephens which had been quoted by many media: “Should President Obama decide to order a military strike against Syria, his main order of business must be to kill Bashar Assad. Also, Bashar’s brother and principal henchman, Maher. Also, everyone else in the Assad family with a claim on political power.”
