    I think this article needs some statistics to back up this claim. I found a great article with a lot of information. Being that India is the most polluted country (air quality wise), there is a ton of information that supports this headline, it just needs to be added to the story.

    Supporting data needs to be added, or headline and subhead changed. As of now, the headline reads as if something recent (last few months or so) has caused air pollution levels to rise in an unprecedented way, but the article only mentions a general rise in fossil fuel use.
