    Hi, Claudia, as I understand the passus “Yet despite this // strong // association between toxic waste and developmental , Persico says the link between toxic waste and human activity is not strong enough to win over skeptics and polluting companies”, it is clearer without the insertion of “strong”. Indirectly the sentence relativises the term “strong” (in resp. of the association), implicitly presupposing that “stronger” were in the realm of possibility. This sounds illogical. I changed “strong” into “clear”. Is this o.k.?
