A lot of stastistics being thrown around here by all parties past and present. Just a little research beneath the propagandised ‘Main Stream Media’ level of news coverage would suggest there is very little officially released stastistical information that bear any semblance whatsoever to the truth of any situation, lol. Trump, has inherited a Poison Chalice of a satarical stastistical similie, but has the guile of a true magician to turn this on it’s head and confound the perpetrators of this perposterous nonsense towards their own demise… lol.

I included a link to the paragraph at the bottom. I also put the paragraph under the subcategory: “More Context.” I highly recommend using this category as it provides important background to controversial and provocative statements.

Still don’t think it’s relevant. The unemployment rate and jobs added are two different things. Increasing jobs do not necessarily mean decrease in unemployment. If more people are going into the job market faster than jobs are being added it could mean an increase in unemployment e.g. it’s probably better to leave it as a separate check but since the nyt already did one I don’t think a new one is needed unless the nyt check is inaccurate.

The last paragraph added did not supply sourcing and is not relevant to the central claim.

I was conflicted about rating this. If Trump had left it at “lowest unemployment” and “highest median income”, I think ‘true but misleading’ would be fair and accurate. However it appeared clear that he took credit for this with additional words in the tweet. Similarly with the Bill Clinton assault weapons ban fact check I started. Clinton said his ban “led to” a 33 year low in murder rate. Since “led to” can mean many things, I had to use the context to infer that he meant influenced or caused. But the available evidence suggested it had no effect so I rated ‘likely false.’ I thought this trump claim is sufficiently similar to rate it similarly.
