    The article does not tell us what “controlled drainage” is – it seems to be a specific product being marketed – and neither do the references.
    Needs more work to clarify the point.

      Thanks Andrew, yes, it definitely needs to have more details on the controlled drainage system, how it works etc. There has been a full scientific paper written on the subject here, which is also referenced in the article:

        I saw the reference; the problem is it’s a paywall reference – you only see the abstract unless you’re a subscriber. And the abstract tells you pretty much nothing about the technique/technology whatever it is.
