Hartford Connecticut man allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint, forced to smoke crack


Three men have been charged after a Hartford Connecticut man was was allegedly kidnapped and forced to smoke crack at gunpoint.

According to the Hartford Courant newspaper, Shaquill Strickland and others also tried to force the man to have sex with a prostitute, police said, threatening to shoot him if he tried to leave.

Strickland, 22, was charged with kidnapping with a firearm, second-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery, possession of a pistol without a permit and third-degree larceny, police said.

Also arrested in relation to the incident were Deasijah Burnham, 19 and Kenneth Daniels, 47, police said.

A city man faces kidnapping charges after he robbed a driver at gunpoint Wednesday and forced him to drive to an apartment and to smoke crack cocaine, police said. Shaquill Strickland and others also tried to force the man to have sex with a prostitute, police said, threatening to shoot him if he tried to leave.
