Police arrest 38 people in Minya village, Egypt after attack on Coptic Christians

Almost 40 people have been arrested in Minya village, in Egypt, for attacking Copts, reports Watani International.

How 19 of that group have since been released.

According to a statement issued by Anba Macarius, Bishop-General of Minya, the attack on August 31 targeted four Coptic homes and left two people with knife wounds. Gold and jewellery were also stolen and part of the properties set on fire.
