Large groups of Syrians took to the streets of Idlib province on August 31, to protest an expected Syrian government assault on the area, say reports.

Haaretz reports that thousands of government troops and allied fighters have been gathering in areas surrounding Idlib.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Syrian forces have deployed at least 2,000 armored vehicles along the front lines surrounding Idlib and Hama.
