I think this story may be most interesting for us in the aspect that there is “information warfare” going on between the government and the protestors. To me personally at this time, it is unclear whether this text message is an accurate attempt to calm things down, or propaganda. I see a nice way for us to at least do a good roundup of what the media is saying, and then to figure out who we should ask one of our journalists to contact for more information?

Thanks jimmy, I like WikiTribune because anyone can contribute to develop the journalism with clear sources and make the news more trusted with examination and evidence. For your kind information, the government has approved the draft of Road Transport Act 2018 with the maximum penalty of five years in jail and a Tk500,000 fine for fatal road accidents.
During the protest opposition were trying to divert the protest demanding safe road to evict the government through political game.
Giving reference of the next web in draft news is not a good sign for wikitribune because who told to the next web news that the government have sent text message to citizens! I didn’t get any authenticity about the statement of the next web as I’m a citizen of Bangladesh.
Best of luck wikitribune, hope they will not follow so-called news media.
Really Evidence based journalism can make the world better place.
Thanks
