I suggest a comparison with the 2015 visit of Chinese leader Xi Jinpimg to the UK. Three protesters were arrested and their homes were searched after they held up banners and waved flags. Will the same thing happen to these intrepid balloonists? Perhaps ask Emily Thornberry for a comment — she raised questions over the treatment of one of the three Xi protesters.

Hi Jennifer, I’m so sorry I’ve just seen your comment. I think you’re onto something and would quite like to see it fleshed out as a separate story. Would you like to write a piece on how Trump’s visit compares to other UK visits of other “controversial” world leaders?

Well, it did seem to me that the authorities were a lot keener to prevent Xi from even seeing the protests than they are for Trump. However, in terms of the current story — no mention of the Trump baby balloon? See https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-44732754 apparently the Mayor of London has given permission for it to fly over London.
