Waffle House shooting suspect Travis Reinking captured after four killed in Nashville


The suspected shooter behind the killing of four people at a Waffle House in Nashville, Tennessee was arrested on Monday, Metro Nashville Police said.

Suspect Travis Reinking, 29, was arrested in a wooded area near the suspect’s residential apartment complex (ABCNews). He was driving in a 2018 BMW the suspect allegedly stole the Tuesday before the shooting. The suspect was armed when arrested.

The arrest finished a two-day long search involving 160 law enforcement officials for the perpetrator of the shooting on Sunday (New York Times). The fact that the shooter was walking free caused the city of Nashville to cancel all after-school activities. During the search, an empty laptop bag was found by police, believed to belong to the suspect.
