The DA has lost some credibility due to alleged corruption in Cape Town. Also many commentators have suggested that the ANC will regain a lot of support when Cyril Ramaphosa becomes president. I therefore suspect the DA and EFF may see a loss of some voters in the next national elections which they gained in the recent municipal elections. The corruption scandal in the DA is really disappointing and I do no see them “taking over” any time soon now, unless something radical occurs.

Key to understanding how President Zuma has kept this case out of court so long is his relationship with Sean Abrahams. The courts have concluded that Mr Abrahams’ appointment itself was inappropriate and should not have been made by the President, but by his deputy, Cyril Ramaphosa.
