Hi – most recent numbers from WHO on cholera in Yemen say more than 860,000 cases, with a million expected by the end of the year. The link is here: http://www.emro.who.int/surveillance-forecasting-response/outbreaks/outbreak-update-cholera-in-yemen-26-october-2017.html

Also, according to a joint statement from UNICEF, WHO, and the World Food Program (which you cited a little further down in the article), it’s more than 20 million people who are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, not the 17 million quoted above. Link is here: http://www.wfp.org/news/news-release/un-leaders-appeal-immediate-lifting-humanitarian-blockade-yemenlives-millions-a

also also: there’s a typo in the opening paragraph – “70,000” when I think you may have meant “700,000.” (which, again, is now actually 860,000, according to most recent estimate).

    Great article, hope these help!
